He did not care about the route. He did not mind his looks. He was not feeling anything. He reached a deep forest. The sounds of wild animals did not fear him. He stopped and sat under a tree when he couldn't walk anymore. His every thought was about his past. His mistakes. His arrogance. The "his" was the reason for turning a bright life into a disaster. He had been crying, continuously. When he no more had the tears, he was thrown into a deep depression. He was thinking of only one chance to correct himself, correcting everything. It was not possible, he thought.

His depression has turned the bright sunny forest into a dark night. The wind stopped breezing to mourn with him. He sensed that his end was coming near. Suddenly a voice was heard, "You will get a second chance if your will is strong enough.." He did not believe what he heard. He did not want to ignore either. He gathered some energy and started focusing, on only one thing. Doing justice to his family. His breath was dropping, but the focus was increasing. He was feeling as if his brain were going to explode. Finally, he consumed the last breath.

Where was he? What was he? He was not understanding. He could only feel that he became lighter. He was very peaceful. He could not distinguish between himself and his surroundings. Everything appeared the one and same. He was not feeling any emotions. He heard the voice again, "You will know your past when you reach your 12th birthday in your next cycle." He listened to it. He did not say anything. He was gone, to somewhere, in some form, somehow.

Tarun started writing the diary for that day with the usual things from school. He wrote about his science classes. He was seeing the posters in front of him in between. Those people from the top companies were his inspirations. Whatever top company you name it, he had a dream role and a dream product. At the end of his dairy, he thought about writing about his one-sided love. But, gave up. The girl's name is Aanya. He could explain the reasons behind successful companies but not for his special affection towards that girl. His dilemma was not solved yet, he concluded. He added the last sentences. "So, hey, reader, you read up to now even knowing it's a personal diary. Better stop now and return it to me. Have your own diary if you want."

"It's getting late, Sleep now!!" it's the voice of his mother. A little frustrated, he closed the diary and decided to start writing it early the next day. That'd also work as his birthday resolution too. Because he was turning 12 the next day.

"Hey, Tarun, wake up..!" he heard a voice. He opened his eyes. He was seeing someone, which seem like he knew earlier. He got it, it's Maa..!! He immediately said "Maa..!!" he was almost getting tears. His mother, and beside her, his father, wished him the birthday wishes, "Happy birthday Tarun..!!" They were so happy and smiling as if they were looking at a just-born kid. Tarun was looking around, at the room walls, and at them, and without making further delay he wished them back. They asked him to freshen up quickly to go to Temple. He rushed to the bathroom which he located while talking to his parents. It was within the eye's reach.

He was still processing what had happened. Tarun could barely touch the washbasin and thought about what had happened to him. He was recollecting, some voice he heard last time, and before that, he was in some forest. By the time he completed the head bath, he had realized this-what he had heard became a reality.

He went to the temple. Prayed to God to let him know what had happened, what was going to happen. He was replying to the birthday wishes of the neighbours, but mostly without caring who they were. But he was enjoying the sweets his mother had prepared. After packing his bag with chocolate packets and some more sweets, he boarded the bus.

The assembly had announced his birthday and everyone wished him a happy birthday. His friends were waiting for chocolate distribution to start. Even he was preparing for it. Then someone said, "May I come in sir?" from outside of the class. He recognized the voice and immediately saw into the entrance. Yes, it was Aanya.
