Seeing Aanya was the trigger for him. His brain had started filling with so many memories in such a short time that he could not withstand it. He collapsed into a bench near him. The surrounding students were shocked and were trying to make Tarun talk. He was not responding. After a few moments, he recovered and said "Yeah I am fine, it was just some stomach ache." Even Aanya was observing him and the scene he made. But she ignored it. He sat for 2 minutes and drank some water. Started giving the chocolates, and saying thank you to everyone in the class. He was giving a reply as if he were a "Thank You" robot. He tried to make some smile, but he couldn't. Finally, he tried to move his lips slightly so that people would be lost in thinking about whether he was smiling or not.

He reached Aanya and gave her chocolates. His hands were a bit shaking. She wished, "Happy returns of the day". His smile became better. "thank you", he replied. The whole day was so hard for him. His heart was getting pierced but he had to put on a smiling face. The eyes were pointing to the book. But there was a storm of memories. It was so hard to control tears. He controlled them, his  'experience' helped him.

He came home. He ate dinner. He came to the study table. He did not want to write the diary. The tears are covering his vision. His parents asked whether anyone hurt him. He denied it and said he was a bit tired. That night, he wanted to remove all the posters of the people who inspired him. The top CEOs and various cool gadgets. Money could give many things, and also pleasure, but not peace. He just wanted to remove all of those pictures. He did not want to show any sudden change. He decided not to see them again. Never.

He woke up early. He decided not to waste a single moment by thinking about himself. He started the correcting measures. He started meditation and was more polite towards his people - parents, friends, neighbours, strangers on road, and even people who bullied him. His classmates became kids in front of him. Every act of them made him laugh as if it were a circus. Of course, he laughed at himself when reading his old dairies. What about Aanya? He did not want to start yet. He thought to take some time.

He was getting better at things. He stopped having false confidence which is nothing but his own ignorance. He stopped judging his parents. He stopped cutting in between. He was more into listening. He wondered how one could contain that much anger within. Even though on the force, he started calming down. He was analyzing himself. Whenever he was angry, all he had to do was - "Why?". That's it. Failing to give a valid reason, his brain stopped calling his anger for every scene.

However, he was bored too. Who would think one had to study fluid mechanics again? He thought to make a better understanding this time. But no, it did not work. He wondered why he was not born at some later time like they show in movies - If someone died, the next birth would be in some advanced generation; if you were a king riding on horses, next time you would be on the metro. Here it was not the case. He was hating the fiction movies about re-birth. Did re-birth mean nothing but the same life on loop? Or, was he in an alternate reality? He realized one thing. It was better to understand fluid mechanics.

Sometimes he was remembering the past. Whenever they appeared, he was like a frozen fossil. But he was learning to quickly recover. He had kept his aids within hand reach - His favourite songs, a water bottle, a bed.

After school, he saw Aanya again after his graduation; at a wedding of one of his school friends. The bride was a close friend of Aanya. She was like the light of the moon; It is not the brightest, but the coolest. His admiration for her made him think that even time wouldn't want to go away from her.

He decided to talk with her. It was easy. Both exchanged a few dialogues within a short time. Knowing that she would stay another night, he cancelled his return tickets. He left after she bid goodbye to her friend. On the night when he returned home, he resumed a habit he left long back - diary writing. This time the diary was about her, for her. After completing the diary, he made the next step and switched off the lights.

"1 new message from Tarun St. Thomas" - Aanya mobile got a notification while she was asleep.
